CHCANYS26 Call for Abstracts

October 20–22, 2026 | Saratoga Springs, New York 

Join community health leaders from across New York State to share what's working, tackle shared challenges, and celebrate the people and practices strengthening care for nearly 2.5 million patients. 

We want to hear from you. Submit a proposal to lead a session that helps NYS CHCs solve real challenges, implement best practices, and leave with ideas they can use. 

Deadline: May 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET 
Decisions sent: Week of June 15, 2026 

What We're Looking For 

We're prioritizing sessions that address the most pressing issues facing New York's Community Health Centers right now. Strong proposals are practical, grounded in real experience, and designed for engagement. 

Abstract Deadline: May 27th, 2026 

2026 Agenda topics:  

Proposals related to the following areas will be considered.  

Clinical 

  • Emerging Care Modalities for Aging Patients with Chronic Diseases
  • Health Center Innovations to Achieve Improvement in Maternal Health Outcomes
  • Change Management and Practice Transformation in HTN Care Delivery
  • Pediatric Oral Health Team-Based Approaches to Support Patients with IDD
  • Accelerating Access to Colorectal Cancer Screening Among High-Risk Patient Populations  

Data 

  • AI and Automation in the Safety Net
  • Data Foundations, Analytics, and Population Health Management
  • Interoperability and Data Exchange for Real‑World Impact
  • Foundational Infrastructure, Governance, and Scaling Digital Solutions 

Policy and Financial Health 

  • 340B—maximizing revenue; protecting the program; complying with requirements
  • Using AI to improve CHC revenue cycle processes

  • Community Organizing to Achieve Advocacy Wins for Health Centers

Please note: 

  • Length of sessions will be 60 minutes.
  • Session formats may include panel discussion, solo presentation, interactive workshop, or case study. Please indicate your preferred format in your submission.
  • Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
  • Maximum of 3 presenters/panelists per session.
  • Please hold the conference dates on your calendar in the event your abstract is selected for the program.
  • Authors will be notified of the status of their abstract on June 19th, 2026. 

Abstract Submission Selection Criteria: 
The 2026 Conference, which is comprised of both CHCANYS members and partners, CHCANYS staff will use the following criteria to evaluate your proposal(s): 

Proposals will be evaluated on: 

  • Relevance
    Does this address a real, current challenge for NYS health centers?
  • Practical value 
    Will attendees leave with something they can actually use?
  • Engagement
    Is this designed as an interactive experience?
  • Evidence
    Is this grounded in real-world experience or data?
  • Originality 
    Does this bring fresh thinking or new solutions?
  • Objectivity 
    Is this vendor-neutral and free of commercial bias? 

Speaker Benefits: 
On behalf of CHCANYS, thank you for offering to share your time and expertise at this event. Speakers who plan to attend the full conference are eligible for a discounted registration rate. Speakers who choose to attend only on the day of their presentation may do so free of charge for that day. While we are pleased to offer a discounted conference rate for speakers, please note that no additional financial support will be provided, including travel reimbursement or presenter fees.
