Upstream USA: Expanding Opportunity, Increasing Access

Upstream USA is excited about the possibility of partnership with your health organization. Their work is designed to be collaborative with health agencies who are interested in the adoption of reproductive health best practices like; pregnancy intention screening, patient-centered contraceptive counseling, and hassle-free contraception access without requiring a return visit. They work with safety net providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), hospitals, and large health systems whose goal is to ensure that equitable, patient-centered contraceptive care is a standard component of primary care.

Upstream began its work with a state model and has rapidly grown to a national model. Over the last seven years their partnerships have yielded impactful results. Their design is evidence based and sustainable. Developed with the patient at the center of their program model. Upstream offers pro-bono training and technical assistance to establish practice improvement protocols. Some of the program elements include access to engaging and interactive virtual training with up to 6.25 CME/CE contact hours, financial support to help offset staff time and contraceptive supplies, and a dedicated Upstream team to provide support and sustainability practices.

Upstream USA looks forward to helping improve women's reproductive health in New York. If your health organization is interested in partnering or learning more about Upstream, please reach out.
