The CHCANYS-HCCN provides EHR technical assistance to the network’s most widely used platforms. Content includes presentations and resources around patient engagement, provider burden, patient access as well as tips and tricks on the use of the EHR.

EHR user groups are run on a regular cadence and invites all NYS FQHCs to join and discuss promising practices and updates to the platform.

CHCANYS also participates in the KLAS Arch Collaborative, which is a provider-led effort to unlock the potential of EHRs in revolutionizing patient care. Through standardized surveys and benchmarking, healthcare organizations collaborate to uncover best practices and move the needle in healthcare IT. Currently, the Arch Collaborative uses measurement data to improve the EHR experience through training, governance, and culture.

Optimizing the EHR Using the KLAS EHR Experience Survey: An Agnostic Training Series: This ongoing series of webinars will explore EHR-agnostic optimization related to initial EHR training, EHR personalization tools, and other topics such as documentation, in-basket messaging, and provider ownership of the EHR. This webinar series will leverage KLAS Research data, an HCCN partner that works to bring insights around EHR use through various outlets, including the KLAS EHR Experience Survey and case studies. This series will grow in parallel to the KLAS EHR Experience Survey, which all HCCN members were encouraged to participate in from October 1- October 27, 2023.
