$210,000 -- $230,000 annual salary (based on a full-time, 40-hour work week). Incentive payment structure and Bonus applicable.

BronxCare Health System (BCHS) Department of Medicine is seeking full time Internal Medicine Physicians to join the Martin Luther King Health Center Ambulatory Care Practice.

BronxCare is the largest voluntary, not-for-profit health and teaching hospital system serving the South and Central Bronx, with 859 beds and more than 4,500 employees. Its two main hospital divisions, comprehensive psychiatric and chemical dependency programs, long-term care facility, and extensive outpatient network are delivering the highest quality and accessible services to the community. BronxCare is now among the largest providers of outpatient services in New York City, with close to one million visits annually.

BronxCare Health System has a fully integrated EMR system, espouses population health management, and value based care. All our practices are designated PCMH level 3 by NCQA standards.

Academic appointments are provided at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Qualified candidates should be Board Eligible/Certified. Visa holders are welcome.

 Responsibilities:

  • The physician will provide and facilitate comprehensive primary care services and precept medical residents. The candidate will be a leading member of the care team.

Compensation:

 $210,000 -- $230,000 annual salary (based on a full-time, 40-hour work week). Incentive payment structure and Bonus applicable.

Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components. 

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, licensed in NYS prior to start date
  • Completion of three-year Internal Medicine Residency
  • Board-Certified or Board eligible from American Board of Internal Medicine.
  • Proficient communication skills while working with a culturally diverse patient and staff population.
  • Focused on collaborative team-based care
  • Comfortable in using EHR
