Full-Time Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Responsibilities:
- Identify with providers as a practitioner and as a medical manager and provide effective influence and leadership
- Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff, other programs, agencies, and the general public
- Provide leadership to clinical staff and encourage their professional performance and development
- Communicate effectively at various organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, consulting, and advising
- Support the Chief Medical Officer to oversee
- Clinical services including Medical, Dental, Nursing and other ancillary clinical services
- Quality Assurance/Improvement program
- Risk Management program
- Recruitment and retention of clinical personnel as well as maintaining provider credentialing and privileging practices
- Selected strategic plan and organizational initiatives
- Clinical Chiefs and Director of Operations within Internal Medicine, Mental Health and/or other service units as determined by the Chief Medical Officer
- Partner with the Chief Medical Officer to liaison with managed care organizations on quality and incentive programs
- Maintain adherence with local, state and federal regulations
- Manage clinical trainees and contribute to staff training and development
- Monitor preparation and author various clinical policies, procedures and protocols
- Liaison and represent the health center with external organizations
- Care for and maintain a primary care panel of patients
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Board certified primary care physician licensed to practice in New York State
- Current NYS License and Registration
- Three years' experience in a leadership position in health care
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $220,000 - $280,000 per year
