Responsibilities:

  • Create content for various communication channels, such as website, emails, newsletters, press releases, and blogs, to engage with patients, staff, donors, and the community and inform them about health center programs and initiatives
  • Develop and execute communications and brand strategy with Director of Communications and External Affairs to meet Health Center’s mission
  • Coordinate digital communications in collaboration with clinical and program staff on all platforms including website, emails, newsletters, and blog
  • Maintain contact management platform in Constant Contact
  • Coordinate production of communications materials with Chinese translation team and graphics designer as needed
  • Provide editorial support for health education, marketing, and development materials as needed
  • Assist development team in fundraising campaigns and events
  • Coordinate press events, maintain press contacts, and research press coverage
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated competency in communications strategy, planning, and implementation of plans and tactics
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media.
    Extensive email marketing experience, preferably with Constant Contact
  • Excellent writing and editing skills – 3 writing samples are required including at least one published work
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept in project management and time management
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in communications or public relations field is required

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
