“You can’t claim you support community health centers and then gut Medicaid. We’ve done the math – the Senate Finance Committee’s Budget Reconciliation Proposal will cost New York’s community health centers $300M a year, forcing CHCs to cut hours or services or both, jeopardizing the care of 2.4 million people, or one in every eight New Yorkers. The numbers don’t lie: if you limit access to Medicaid, you hurt Community Health Centers and the people they serve.”
