ONC’s 21st Century Cures Act Final Rule Effective April 5

As of April 5, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has begun enforcement of the ONC’s Cures Act Final Rule. The Rule is designed to give patients and healthcare providers seamless and secure access, exchange, and use of electronic health information. By creating an ecosystem of competitive and innovative healthcare applications, patients will have an increased number of choices around electronically accessing their electronic health information.
