NYS HRSA Early Childhood Development Awardees

Congratulations to the selected NYS FQHCs on your HRSA Early Childhood Development Award! Aligned with the priorities of the HRSA Early Childhood Development Award, HealthySteps is a population-based, risk-stratified model that helps to operationalize and enhance the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures recommendations. The HealthySteps Specialist, a child development expert, joins the pediatric primary care team to ensure universal screening, provide successful interventions, referrals, and follow-up to the whole family with explicit focus on children ages 0-5. If you are interested, HealthySteps might be a good fit for implementing your new award. Here is a link to the HealthySteps website if you would like to learn more.

If interested, fill out this form and/or contact Elizabeth Frenette, Senior Policy Analyst, efrenette@zerotothree.org to have some initial exploratory conversations about what this could look like at your health system.

Additionally, we wanted to make you aware of a complementary open procurement opportunity in the state through the Office of Mental Health. It is a 5-year grant to implement HealthySteps within your health system. The application submission deadline is 10/3/23.
