The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) loan repayment program has received unprecedented levels of funding, and therefore we are asking all health centers to strongly encourage all eligible applicants to apply. With so much funding, it is highly likely that all eligible applicants will receive $50,000 - $100,000 in loan forgiveness. The deadline for applications has been extended to February 3, 2022. The program provides loan repayment awards to students pursuing a degree in allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine, physician assistant studies, nursing, or dentistry. In exchange for loan repayment, individuals agree to provide primary health services in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) of greatest need.
