It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Barbra E. Minch, a visionary leader in the Community Health Center movement and former President & CEO of Ryan Health.
For more than three decades, Barbra dedicated her career to expanding access to quality healthcare and advancing health equity. Her leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to community health transformed countless lives and helped strengthen the health center movement in New York and across the country.
Barbra was also a devoted leader within CHCANYS, serving on our Board of Directors for more than 15 years, including as First Vice Chair and co-chair of the Public Policy Committee. She was a trusted mentor, an influential advocate, and a respected voice whose leadership shaped our organization and our mission. Nationally, her service to the health center movement earned her induction into the NACHC Hall of Fame and the John Gilbert Community Health Care Award of Excellence.
