The Omnibus Appropriations bill has been approved by both houses and signed by the President. This bill will fund the Federal government for the rest of FY 2022. Here are a few highlights from the bill: a 3.7% ($65 million) increase for Section 330, consisting of a $25 million increase for school-based health centers, for a total of $30 million; a $20 million increase for Ending the HIV Epidemic, for a total of $122 million; and $5 million to establish a new program for Advanced Cancer Screenings in Underserved Communities. The bill also extends current Medicare telehealth flexibilities and payment rates for 151 days following the end of the Public Health Emergency and delays the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule in-person visit requirement for patients receiving behavioral health services via telehealth.
