Funding Opportunity: Quality Improvement Fund - Improving Access to Dental Services for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Opportunity: HRSA has released applications for a fiscal year 2026 Quality Improvement Fund focused on Improving Access to Dental Services for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDDs). HRSA is making $2,000,000 grants available to 25 health centers to pilot evidence-based approaches to increase access, advance skills and knowledge within the workforce, and improve patient outcomes.

Applicant Eligibility: The application guidance and the application are available online. Health Center Program award recipients with active H80 awards that include preventive and additional dental services in their scope of project are eligible to apply. However, health centers that receive QIF-Optimizing Virtual Care, QIF-Maternal Health, or QIF-Transitions in Care for Justice-Involved Populations are not eligible to apply.

Funding: HRSA will fund up to 25 health centers through a Quality Improvement Fund, which provides one-time funding to cover a 2-year period of performance. The QIF funds must be used 1) to implement evidence-based models to increase access to dental services and improve outcomes for children with NDDs and 2) to advance the skills and knowledge of the health center workforce.
