Medicare has published the CY22 Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule.
- Reimbursement for behavioral health services delivered via telehealth (audio-visual and audio-only when a patient is unable or unwilling to connect to video technology). For ongoing telehealth services, an in-person visit must be furnished once every 12 months, with allowable, documented exceptions for patient circumstances.
- Reimbursement for hospice-attending physician services when provided by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant who is employed by an FQHC but is not employed by a hospice program.
- Reimbursement for multiple types of care management services provided for the same patient during the same service period.
