CHCANYS will host its first HCCN Emergency Management Hybrid Interoperability Exercise on April 29, 2026, bringing together a select group of community health centers to strengthen coordination during complex operational incidents.
This 90-minute low-lift exercise will simulate a compounded event involving severe weather and opportunistic cyber disruption, allowing participants to practice sharing operational updates and situational awareness across the network. The scenario discussion will take place via Zoom, with real-time reporting and coordination conducted through VEOCI.
Building on lessons learned from previous VEOCI exercises, this pilot initiative represents the next step in strengthening interoperability among New York’s health centers. Participating organizations will play a meaningful role in shaping how VEOCI is used during emergencies. Insights from the exercise will help inform future VEOCI platform enhancements, reporting workflows, and coordinated response efforts across the HCCN network.
Participation is limited to a small cohort of 10-15 health centers to support meaningful engagement and collaboration. Organizations are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.
