Recruitment Services Offered

We offer Executive, Physician, Allied and Dental, Academics and Community and Tribal Searches. 

Recruitment Processes 

The first thing we would do is send out a client questionnaire to determine the position we would be recruiting for.  

Once we receive the questionnaire back from the client, we will schedule a time to set up a virtual profile date where we introduce you to your assigned recruiter. 

An additional staff member overseeing the relationship between the client and the recruiter will also join this call to ensure there is consistent communication and will act as the client’s point of contact for questions related to invoices/contracting throughout the process. 

On the Opportunity Evaluation: This can be done virtually or on-site. The following decisions will be made jointly between Medicus and the client: 

  • Figuring out your exact candidate parameters
  • Meeting all the stakeholders within your department/division
  • Learning what is most important to you
  • Figuring out what the interview process looks like on your end 

This is to make sure the client receives a fully comprehensive understanding of the position so that when they start marketing and vetting candidates, they can accurately represent what that position will entail. 

Opportunity creation: The client’s Medicus recruiter will put together a full market insight analysis (going to pull market data from previous/current searches that The Medicus Firm has worked on within the market of the same specialty). 

Medicus can be consultative with you so that you know how competitive your opportunity is compared to others in the market. This allows us to determine what sets your opportunity apart from others in the market. Medicus will then send the client the post-profile document to review and deploy marketing.  

Launch Search: This is when candidates start responding to your opportunity, and our recruiters start the vetting process. Our goal is not to send you any and all candidates we receive. We want to take some time off your plate by fully vetting a candidate before we present them to you. If Medicus believes a candidate fits your parameters, then we send the candidate’s CV and summary to the client.  

Candidate initial interviews: After the client reviews a candidate and decides to move them through the process, Medicus can help with scheduling information for that initial call. 

Candidate Onsite Interviews: Medicus conducts a pre-onsite interview call with the candidate. This is when we want to figure out what kind of questions they have before going into the onsite interview with the client. After the candidate comes onsite for their interview with the client, Medicus will work as a liaison between the client and candidate.

Service Customization Details

Our 7-step process is built into every search. It ensures that each search is positioned for success. These steps are customized to your FQHC and your searches. 

1. Recruiter Introduction – The process starts with meeting your FQHC trained recruiter and discussing the previous challenges you had with this position 

2. Virtual On-Site Evaluation – Your recruiter will schedule a virtual evaluation to gather as much information about your opportunity, your FQHC & your community 

3. Opportunity Creation – Our teams go to work creating the opportunity, which includes developing an EPIC report specific to your opportunity 

4. Marketing Strategy – The recruiter will also create a marketing strategy for your opportunity to ensure we are reaching the right candidates 

5. Launch Search – Your opportunity is posted to job boards, and our targeted marketing campaign is deployed 

6. Candidate Screening and Interviews – We thoroughly vet each candidate and provide a dossier on each candidate before scheduling interviews 

7. Placement – We guarantee each placement. If a provider falls off within 4 months from their start date, and we are unable to recruit a replacement, we will refill the position at no charge

Methods for Sourcing and Screening Candidates (if applicable)

The Medicus Firm tracks every single candidate successfully placed for each job. This data helps to determine the most effective marketing strategy for each search. What we have found is that the majority of the candidates placed are actually a result of our multi-pronged approach.  

We also conduct an annual Provider Practice and Relocation Preference Survey, in which thousands of providers’ practice and geographical location preferences are assessed. From this survey, we found that over half of the physicians receive 6 or more job solicitations a week. This tells us that the days of just posting an ad or doing any one singular marketing tactic are behind us. We have got to be in a position to make our opportunities stand out, and we understand that providers are absorbing information regarding new opportunities multiple times a week across various platforms. We also understand that candidate conversion is highly dependent on timing, so it’s important that our jobs are always in front of them.

Portal Set-up Process

Clients can log into the portal 24/7 from their computer, tablet, or smartphone to see real-time updates as to what is going on with their searches and what their investment is yielding. This allows us to work with the client to make positive changes to their opportunity and put them in better positions for success. Our client portal is password and user ID protected.  

Clients also receive an automated progress report that encapsulates this data every 60 days.

The Medicus Firm executes a contract and a statement of work. Clients can cancel our services at any time.

We permanently place on average 200 providers in FQHC's annually. We have a dedicated division and trained staff for FQHCs, CHCs and Tribal Health.
