Community Link Consulting's – now a VMG Health Company – recruitment services primarily focus on executive and senior leadership roles that are critical to center performance, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and other C-suite or senior management positions. In addition, CLC supports the recruitment of finance and accounting staff roles such as staff accountants, senior accountants, and related finance positions, particularly in situations involving turnover, growth, or broader finance department stabilization efforts.
CLC provides recruitment services tailored to the needs of community health centers, with a primary focus on executive and senior leadership recruitment. Services include national executive search, interim executive placement support, leadership transition planning, and optional onboarding and coaching support for newly placed executives. CLC also supports recruitment for finance and accounting staff roles such as staff accountants and senior accountants, particularly when aligned with broader finance leadership or stabilization initiatives.

CLC differentiates itself through its exclusive focus on FQHCs and community health organizations and its deep familiarity with HRSA governance and compliance requirements. The firm’s recruiting team brings lived experience from serving in executive and senior leadership roles within health centers, enabling a nuanced understanding of organizational needs and candidate fit.
CLC manages recruiting efforts by:
- Meeting with key client stakeholders as identified by CEO, to understand the preferred candidate qualifications, including characteristics, attributes, education and professional training, compensation and cultural specifications.
- Supporting finalizing the job description and posting
- Arranging advertising
- Screening resumes and prescreen candidates
- Facilitating interview process with CLC recruiting team
- Completing professional reference checks
- Facilitating competency testing
- Presenting qualified candidates to the CEO
CLC will identify high quality, active, and passive job candidates, so it is imperative that the Client provides timely feedback after the initial presentation of candidates and after each interview. This will allow CLC to contact the candidates quickly to keep the lines of communication open, maintain high candidate interest levels, and move quickly through the process.
The Client shall be responsible for coordinating and completing the final interviews for presented candidates, completing the background check and credentialing of selected candidates. The Client is responsible for all arrangements and expenses to interview candidates on site. CLC strongly recommends that Client performs a general background check which includes credit check, employment verification, driver’s license validation, criminal check, Professional license verification and degree verification. The Client is responsible for making the final selection and completing their hiring and onboarding processes.
Each recruitment engagement is customized to the client organization’s size, structure, community context, and strategic priorities. CLC conducts stakeholder interviews, develops tailored position profiles, customizes sourcing strategies, and designs role-specific evaluation tools to ensure alignment with organizational culture and leadership expectations.
CLC conducts national recruitment efforts that include targeted job postings, proactive outreach to active and passive candidates, peer and referral networks, and direct engagement within the FQHC leadership and finance professional community. Screening includes structured resume review, preliminary interviews conducted by experienced recruiters, competency-based evaluation, and professional reference checks for finalist candidates.
Additional costs include the $6,000 recruitment fee (non-refundable) and placement fee (12%) of accepted candidates' annual salary. The recruitment fee is billed upon SOW execution, and the placement fee is billed at the start date.

Recruiting Exclusivity: Client agrees to work exclusively with CLC for 120 days from the effective date of the agreement and will not engage any other third-party recruiters during this 120-day period. The client will turn any applicants over to CLC for recruiting that are gathered through current recruiting efforts. Engagements can be cancelled within 30 days' notice.
