Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT), version 2019. The New York State’s Medicaid program implements EPSDT via the Child Teen Health Program (CTHP). In line with the federal EPSDT mandate, CTHP promotes the provision of early and periodic screening services and well care examinations, with diagnosis and treatment of any health or mental health problems identified during these exams. It affords a comprehensive array of preventive health care and treatments for Medicaid recipients from birth up until age 21 years.
