$99,000.00 - $107,650.00 Salary/year

The Clinical Coordinator will work directly with the Director of Nursing, Bronx and Nursing Administration team to supervise clinical services at Callen-Lorde’s Bronx location. The Clinical Coordinator will also assist in the development and oversight of Nursing Department protocols, policies, procedures, and standards of care. This position will provide direct oversight of all Nursing staff at the Bronx, including the selection, scheduling and performance monitoring of Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, and any other Nursing staff who work at the site. The Clinical Coordinator will also partner with the Bronx Administrative Team and Nursing Administrative Team in the selection and performance monitoring of medical staff, administrative staff, and all other staff at the Bronx clinic. In addition, the Clinical Coordinator will provide direct clinical services to patients, including but not limited to, performing stand-alone Registered Nurse appointments such as intake, walk-in, telephone Triage, or patient education services. The Clinical Coordinator will provide coverage for the clinical floor, including rooming and vitalizing patients, doing injection appointments, or doing phlebotomy or any other needed clinical services within and RN scope of practice when needed. Additionally, the Bronx Clinical Coordinator will support general clinic operations by participating in various operations meetings and initiatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education, Experience

  • New York State Registered Nurse Licensure or higher required. (Physician
  • Assistant, Nurse Practitioner).
  • 1 year of experience in supervisory role is preferred.
  • Two Years’ experience in an out-patient clinical setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HIPPA, FQHC, & DOH State and Federal guidelines preferred.
  • Current BCLS Certification required.
  • Current NYS Infection Control Certification
  • Working knowledge of HIPPA, FQHC, & DOH State and Federal guidelines preferred.
  • Strong Computer competency including Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel,
  • and Outlook), required.
  • Experience serving Callen-Lorde’s target LGBT populations preferred.

Desired Characteristics, Skills

  • Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team preferred.
  • Experience working with complex chronic disease management preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
