We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (Pediatrics or Adult triage) to work in our Jackson Heights location.
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care for Apicha Community Health Center patients, adhering to established clinical standards and practices. The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients of all ages, gender, cultures, and background; provide physical and psycho-social support to patients and their significant others; welcome and create an inclusive environment for LGBTQ patients; support and guide members of the clinical team. As a member of the nursing team, work collaboratively with medical providers and all other members of the multidisciplinary team in managing care for a population of patients.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate of Applied Science in Nursing is required; At least 2 years’ experience with medical surgical unit and/or pediatrics or adult triage; Must have a current Registered Nurse License in New York State; Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; Computer literate, documentation experience with EMR, preferably eClinicalWorks but not required; Bilingual is a plus (English plus Spanish or South Asian or East Asian or South East Asian); BLS certified
