Callen-Lorde is seeking a friendly, team oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic Nursing team. The LPN is responsible for assisting primary care providers -- physicians and mid-level providers by providing general nursing care, patient screening, and clinical support. The LPN will also provide patient education and medication administration (including injections). The LPN is also expected to maintain a high degree of professional competence and the highest possible ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and functioning as part of a care-giving team.

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position that will require three morning and daytime shifts, two evening shifts and rotating Saturdays. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Education

• New York State LPN License
• Current CPR certification and Infection Control Certification
• Strong Computer Competency
• Two years experience in an out-patient clinical setting preferred
• Experience serving Callen-Lorde's target populations preferred
