FACILITIES MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE - BROOKLYN

$21.00 - $21.00 / Hourly

The Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing all tasks related to the upkeep of facilities, and facilities services. This role entails performing facilities services, light-duty repairs, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the physical plant, including all essential building services, mechanical systems, and the interior and exterior grounds of all network facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Associate functions as a member of the Facilities department following the direction of the department leadership to achieve all facilities and safety goals. Assist in the maintenance of the general appearance of the facilities including paint, floors and carpeting, furniture, plants, signage, and the main lobby.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the janitorial field, trade, technical facility, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including bending, squatting, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Certification Current Certificate of Fitness as New York City Fire Safety Director preferred or within 6 months of employment.
