The Dental Assistant assists the dentist and/or dental residents in all areas of dentistry, including but not limited to the following: operative dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. S/he operates under strict protocols and under the supervision of the Dentist. S/he is expected to maintain a high degree of professional competence and the highest possible ethical standards, and to function as part of a care-giving team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience
- Dental Assistant Diploma/License.
- Current CPR certification. Strong Computer Competency.
- Two years experience in an out-patient clinical setting preferred.
- Experience serving Callen-Lorde's target populations preferred.

- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
