We are currently seeking a temporary COVID-19 Program Associate in our Manhattan location


Position Summary:  The COVID-19  Program Associate conducts outreach to priority populations, to recruit and promote COVID-19 testing and vaccination for Apicha CHC, to assist in the recruitment of patients to the clinic, and to other services of the organization.  This position will assist in the organizing and participating in various events held by Apicha CHC, including COVID vaccinations, health screenings, health fairs. This position will be working closely with multiple departments at Apicha CHC, via maintaining an events calendar to coordinate all opportunities for COVID-19 testing and vaccination events. This position will support creating community partnerships for outreach and recruitment.   Position is until March 31, 2023.


Qualifications: High School / GED with minimum of two year’s work experience in required; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Proficiency with common office software (Microsoft Word, internet browser, and Excel); Fluency in Spanish or another Asian language is preferred; Database management experience a plus; Strong socio-cultural identification with project target communities required; Have strong community networks in the Lower East Side, Chinatown, Chelsea, and Clinton/Hell’s Kitchen; Ability to reach and recruit potential enrollees from target community; Availability to work late evenings and weekends; Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility; Ability to work independently as well as in a team; Ability to work with diverse populations; Ability to work well within an organizational structure and follow instructions, with attention to detail; Ability to use public transportation; Ability to handle multiple tasks; Ability to use basic computer programs such as Word and the Internet; Working knowledge and communication skills in English required; Fluency in at least one Asian language (Mandarin and Cantonese preferred) or Spanish is a plus.
