COORDINATOR, INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM

$68,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year

Callen-Lorde seeks an organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing organization in the role of Internal Medicine Residency Program Coordinator. The Residency Program Coordinator will work with the Program Director in the implementation and compliance of all aspects of the management and administration of the Teaching Health Center Planning and Development Program. This is a grant-funded program to support the development of new accredited internal medicine residency programs to address the physician workforce shortages and challenges faced by underserved communities. The Residency Program Coordinator will be responsible for the administration and management of the program as well as planning and coordinating academic, operational, and financial activities; assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance with the program's goals and objectives, monitor and bring to attention any changes in national requirements, and provide sound guidance and advice regarding residency program issues.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in health or education-related field preferred
  • A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a setting related to medical postgraduate education, e.g., within a medical residency or fellowship program. Previous experience as a residency coordinator preferred
  • Experience with and knowledge of budgetary and financial processes.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the current ACGME Common Program Requirements, Residency Review Committee requirements, and Specialty Board requirements for certification and tracking for each specialty program.
  • Understand the dynamics and objectives of the Internal Medicine Residency and its relationship with the primary institution and participating institutions.
  • Possess knowledge of the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®) process and familiarity with ERAS software.
  • Proficient in the use of computer databases and PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Skill in managing assigned projects related to education and healthcare, such as special programs and events, which require significant multitasking.

  • Strong computer literacy required
