Full-Time Communications Manager

Reports To: Associate Director of Development

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes communications strategy
  • Manages digital communications in collaboration with clinical and program staff on all platforms including website, social media, email, and blog
  • Coordinates production of communications materials with Chinese translation team and graphics designer as needed
  • Creates and consults on public health and marketing campaigns, multimedia projects, and print materials
  • Provides editorial support for health education, marketing and development materials as needed
  • Assists development team in fundraising campaigns and events
  • Coordinates press events and maintains press contacts
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated competency in communications strategy, planning and implementation of plans and tactics
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital/media social media
  • Strong email marketing experience, preferably with Constant Contact
  • Excellent writing and editing skills – 3 writing samples are required including at least one published work
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in communications or public relations field is required
  • During interview, will require to write a sample press release and media advisory
