Description

The Associate Director of Medicine, Urgent Care (ADM-UC) is responsible for the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of the quality of care provided to Callen-Lorde patients who receive Urgent Care services and operates within the framework of Callen-Lorde's mission and applicable city, state, and federal mandates.  The ADM-UC collaborates with the Managing Director of Medicine in providing clinical supervision to all per diem medical providers who provide Callen-Lorde patients with Urgent Care Services.  The ADM - UC will also have their own patient panel and will additionally supervise salaried medical providers. The ADM-UC additionally is responsible for reviewing labs and completing clinical and administrative tasks related to Urgent Care visits.  They maintain a high degree of professional competence, the highest possible ethical standards and play a leadership role in the caregiving team.

This is a full-time position. Morning, afternoon, and evening hours and occasional Saturday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

  • New York State (MD, DO, NP, PA) License and Registration
  • Board certification in Internal/Adult Medicine or Family Practice preferred
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience
  • Three-five years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience preferred
  • AAHIVM certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in providing care to Transgender and Gender Non-Binary (TGNB) patients

  • Demonstrated knowledge of LGBTQ health-related concerns and experience in providing medical care in LGBTQ communities
  • Commitment to community-based healthcare services
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative/organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong Internet, PC, and spreadsheet skills
  • Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde
