Assistant Dental Director (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Responsibilities:

Manage the clinical functions of the Dental Department as needed
Management and supervision of all clinical aspects of dental practice
Represent the Dental Department at CBWCHC monthly meetings (e.g. Q.A., Risk Management, MDAC, Pharmacy, Corporate Compliance and other meetings as needed)
Prepare and present Q.A. projects
Participate in monthly Peer Review
Prepare and review prior approval for Dental insurance processing
To diagnose, treat and maintain the oral cavity of both the hard and soft tissues and their related structure by usual customary dental practices
Maintain panel of patients
Coordination of interdisciplinary activities with all other Health Center departments
Assist in teaching dental staff specific dental procedures outlined in the Department’s Procedure Manual
Development of internal and external marketing strategies
Development of community outreach programs
Implementation of in-service education for professional and auxiliary staff
Implementation of appropriate specialty referral strategies
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited Dental School (DDS or DMD)
License to practice dentistry in New York State
2-3 years of general dentistry experience
Commitment to and knowledge of community dental health
Good organization skills
Knowledge of a second language (such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Spanish) preferred
