Hometown Health Centers, a federally qualified health center located in Schenectady, New York, is seeking applications for an Application Support Specialist.

This is an exciting role providing real-time and follow-up support to end users accessing our healthcare systems. A successful candidate will have knowledge and aptitude for end user equipment, healthcare and general office software, and an eagerness to learn network, server and telecom back-end systems. An outgoing personality and willingness to help others will be essential as this role involves extensive end-user interaction and training. Related technical certifications are beneficial, and hands-on administration and support of eClinicalWorks (eCW) or any other electronic health record software would contribute greatly to the candidate’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide training and support for eCW, ensuring that the software promotes and facilitates the smooth and efficient operation of the agency.
• Manages and resolves end-user support tickets for workstation and application issues in a primarily Microsoft Windows-based environment.
• Manages and maintains user accounts in application, server and telecom systems.
• Assists with network and server maintenance and provides support to Systems Administrator as required.
• Maintains positive relationship with internal customers, outside partners, vendors and service providers.
• Must be able to move/lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical duties related to installing, connecting, moving or provisioning end-user workstations and data center server equipment.
• Must be able to travel to all Hometown Health Centers sites as required.
