On February 12, the State emergency regulation mandating face coverings in all areas of DOH-regulated healthcare facilities expired. NYS DOH released an advisory with updated guidance stating that Article 28 facilities must develop their own masking policies based on CDC guidance. Per NYSDOH: “Facility policies should be at least as strict as CDC recommendations and may be stricter at the discretion of the facility.” Additional resources can be found in the DOH advisory.
