New York City Dental Clinics

The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene maintains a list of Low Cost Dental Providers (LCDP) across New York City. It's comprised of large FQHC and H+H dental clinics which take most insurances and charge at a sliding fee scale. The list is updated yearly to ensure the clinics featured are open and provide a range of preventive and restorative dental services, as well as specialty care including oral surgical, endodontic, prosthodontic, and periodontal care. The organizations are contacted directly for information about services available for children and adults, hours of operation, appointments, health insurance accepted and any associated fees. The LCDP list is available for access to the public via the following pathways:

  • NYC DOHMH website on the Oral Health homepage, in the Additional Resources section
  • NYC Health Map in the Dental Services section
  • Calling 311 and asking for a “Low Cost Dental Provider” [NYC local only]

We continuously add new clinics to the list for the public to readily access through the website and 311 service. If you are already featured, please let us know if there are any updates to the current listing, or if there is another dental clinic location in your organization that can be added to the list. If you meet the requirements below, you may be eligible to be added to the list.  Attached is a .pdf version of the list we are currently updating. Requirements for LCDP clinics:

  • Clinic must be located in within the 5 boroughs of NYC
  • Have a sliding fee scale available
  • Accept patients with public health insurance (such as Medicaid and Child Health Plus)
  • Accept uninsured patients

Please let us know if you would like to be added to the LCDP list and we can contact you for further information.  You can contact Ritu Jain directly at: rjain@health.nyc.gov
