On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, Governor Cuomo announced his resignation amid at least 11 sexual harassment allegations by current and former staff members. Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, of Buffalo, NY, will start her term as the 57th Governor of NYS upon Governor Cuomo’s resignation, which will take effect on August 24, 2021.
