Assembly Hearing on Healthcare Workforce

On November 18, 2021, the Assembly committees on Health, Labor, and Higher Education held a joint hearing on the COVID-19 impact on the healthcare workforce. CHCANYS provided in-person testimony which included the importance of telehealth and telehealth rate parity, continued need for healthcare workforce pipelines in underserved communities, and expanding the role of Medical Assistants to alleviate the workforce shortage.
