The New York State Department of Health submitted its final 1115 Waiver amendment application to CMS, known as New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER): Making Targeted, Evidence-Based Investments to Address the Health Disparities Exacerbated by the COVID-19 Pandemic. NYS is seeking $13.52 billion over five years to implement changes to reduce health disparities, advance health equity, and support the delivery of social care by integrating social, physical health, and behavioral health into the NYS Medicaid program.
