Brand-New 38,000 Square Foot Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center Poised to Double Annual Patient Visits
BSFHC offers comprehensive primary care and preventive services - including prenetal health, OB/GYN, chronic disease management, HIV/AIDS preventions and treatment, dental pediatrics, and nutritional education - to more than 20,000 patients in Bed-Stuy and surrounding communities. The new facility enables BSFHC to enhance services and double patient visists over the next two years, which will have an enormous impact on patients in a community that faces staggering health disparities and poor health outcomes. Annual Conference and Clinical Forum a Success
Over 325 community health center administrators, staff, clinicians and board members gathered in Albany on Sunday, October 3rd through Tuesday, October 5th for CHCANYS’ Annual Clinical Forum and Conference. Positive buzz on the conference permeated all three days with attendees hearing from a wide variety of experts in their fields with a specific focus on the role that federally qualified health centers will play in the future of health care reform.
