The Empire Justice Center’s Helping Your Patients Access Medicaid Tool-Kit is intended to help health centers help their patients get public health insurance or other help paying for medical care. The topics in the tool kit include Medicaid, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus, Presumptive Eligibility for Children, Refugee Medical Assistance, Charity Care, Spend Down, Spousal Refusal, Pooled Trusts and Rights of Limited English Proficient Patients.
Community, Migrant and Homeless Health Center Handbook
CHCANYS teamed up with The Empire Justice Center, the statewide legal services organization, to develop a handbook detailing health care coverage for immigrants. Funding for the project came from the New York State Health Foundation and a number of health centers across New York provided invaluable assistance in putting the handbook together.
