CHCANYS visited community health centers across the state to celebrate National Health Center Week, an annual celebration that promotes awareness of the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades.
This year, National Health Center Week honored our “health care heroes” – health center providers
The Community Health Care Association of New York State today announced that New York’s community health centers are the recipients of nearly $7.5 million dollars in federal grant funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The funding will be used to continue to improve quality, efficiency, and the effectiveness of healthcare delivery in the communities they serve. The average award in New York State was $118,900 – about 30% higher than the average award to health centers outside of the Empire State.
On July 30, CHCANYS submitted comments stating our significant concerns with the proposed rule, specifically as it pertains to the patient-provider relationship, and strongly urged the Administration to withdraw this proposed rule and to reconsider its course of action.
