Completed Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency (PMSR-36) with added credential of Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery Certification (RRA).
Served diverse area of central Brooklyn in a community hospital, as well as covering podiatry department and clinic for nearby Interfaith Medical Center, and providing biweekly podiatric services for Rutland Nursing Home.
Admitted patients under Podiatry service and served 24-hour emergency department call. Emphasis on wound care, diabetic foot care and limb salvage to provide for the needs of the program’s hospitals, clinics and nursing home. Daily clinic duties, including weekly Wound Care clinic with HBO therapy.

Treating 16-24 patients each day, from routine diabetic foot care to minor in-office surgical procedures. Accommodating all ages, including pediatric population with emphasis on treatment of congenital deformity.

Provided care for a wide variety of foot conditions in a group practice setting, from overuse and sports injuries, to fractures and diabetic foot care. Treatments included fungal nail debridement, soft tissue biopsy, fabrication of custom foot orthoses, ultrasound guided injections, X-rays, as well as Clearanail fungal nail procedure.

Worked six hours a week rotating through all shifts to gain an understanding of emergency medical care provided at a vital hospital center in New York City’s largest and most diverse borough.
Gained insight into patients’ privacy needs, HIPPA and putting compliance goals into practice.
Duties included deliveries to labs, preparing stretchers and wheelchairs, escorting patients and families, and manning the welcome desk for visitors to the ED.
