Medical Residency Coordinator
Location: Manhattan - Family Medicine Residency Program
Position Summary: Provides administrative support to the Director and Administrator of the Residency Program in Family Medicine. The Residency Coordinator acts as a liaison with the departments at Beth Israel Medical Center. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintain evaluations and distribute for conferences, generates reports for department, hospital, and regulatory compliance agencies. Manages the rotation schedule and information database, Coordinates the 405 Regulations (Resident/Fellow working hours). Collects and prepares forms for review by Program Director and Department Chairman. The Residency Coordinator is also responsible for the monthly report to Graduate Medical Education Office at Beth Israel Medical Center. Maintains and creates monthly schedule for Grand Rounds and Wednesday Teaching Afternoon; books guests speakers, logs, and obtains CME credits for Grand Rounds; responsible for generating evaluations for Wednesday Teaching Afternoon and compiles all data; maintains file of electronic presentations accessible for all residents. The RC will also provide continuing administrative support for the residents and faculty; will also coordinate the maintenance of departmental logs on procedures, conference attendance, and assist in logging OB patients and preparing the OB schedule.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of two (2) years related experience preferred, healthcare experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Word, Access, and Excel. Proficiency in ERAS, Internet, and GroupWise preferred. Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM with emphasis on accuracy
