Position Description:

Senior Accountant I

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, research driven member of the financial team. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.


The Senior Accountant will achieve accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to the accounting department and organization as a whole; prepare and complete action plans; streamline methods to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and communication; resolve problems; complete the audit process; identify trends; determine system improvements; implement change.


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

3-5 years of experience in Accounting.

Finance or equivalent financial function preferred.

Proficient with personal computers and associated word processing and spreadsheets.

Experience with EDI preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Valid NYS Driver's License required.


Work with the CFO in developing procedural efficiencies in the financial processes while maximizing use of our current accounting and billing systems.

Support the documentation, reporting and achievement of monthly metrics as defined by the CFO.

Observe and document processes and procedures related to all aspects of Finance and Operations functions; as well as identify and provide input on areas for improvement for Standard Operating Manual.

Some travel may be required.

Job Type: Full-time Salary – Exempt position. Schedule is typically Monday – Friday.  Flexibility is a must to meet deadlines and department needs.  May require some evenings and weekends.
