North Country Family Health Center (NCFHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center, is recruiting a full-time Psychologist to provide behavioral healthcare to both adults and children in its integrated family practice primary care setting. As a professional Behavioral Health Provider, the Psychologist provides Behavioral Health Services to primary care patients managed by NCFHC. The Psychologist is a member of an integrated care team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and care coordinators.
The Psychologist will have an opportunity to provide care in a collaborative, integrative approach, which includes engaging family members and community professionals. He/she provides input and support (e.g., supervision) for other behavioral health staff involved in the care of the patients. Treatment of behavioral health issues includes the following methods: intake and ongoing assessment, psychological testing and evaluation, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, collaboration and consultation with in-house clinical staff and community professionals, engage in the practice of clinical supervision, provide referrals as necessary and appropriate, and other duties as assigned. The candidate will have a minimum degree of doctorate-level degree in psychology and be licensed by New York State as a Psychologist. At least 3-5 years’ experience treating patients of all ages, with a larger focus on adults. Excellent verbal, listening, and documentation skills are required. Experience with electronic health records is required as complete and accurate record keeping is essential for quality of care, treatment planning, and billing of behavioral health services.
