Founded in 1972, The Door empowers educationally and economically disadvantaged youth to reach their potential by providing a complete range of services all under one roof. Each year over 11,000 young people from all five New York City boroughs come to The Door for primary health care, reproductive care and health education, mental health counseling, legal services, supportive housing, HSE, ESL, tutoring and homework help, college preparation and computer classes, career & education services, job placement, daily meals, cultural arts and services.
In collaboration with the health center management team and the medical board, the Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of clinical services and responsible for the compliance and quality assurance programs for the Adolescent Health Center.
•Responsible for the day-to-day clinical functions of the Adolescent Health Center, as it relates to the management of clinical services, leadership of the clinical staff, coordination of staffing patterns, client flow, and resource procurement and utilization. •Develops, monitors, and executes an operational and effective compliance program in a manner consistent with best practices and applicable laws. •Ensures clinical compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, laws and regulations, agency policies and procedures, and grant requirements. •Oversees clinical and compliance training activities, develops training modules and materials, and facilitates training presentations. Tracks completed trainings and records. •Conducts analyses that leverage critical thinking and problem solving to derive solutions for service expansion, business development, and clinical innovation. •Ensures excellent customer service and high quality of care; collaborates with management and staff to identify area to continuously improve the patient experience and service delivery. •Participates in and develops linkages and collaborations with other health care providers, social service agencies, and community organizations. •Performs other such duties as delegated by the Director of Adolescent Health Services.
•New York State Registered Nurse – Master of Nursing preferred. •Minimum of 5 years of progressive health care management experience required, preferably in adolescent health care, reproductive health care, or primary health care. •Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance or risk and quality management required. Certification in compliance desired. •Excellent analytical skills, written and verbal communication, motivational, interpersonal, and organizational, and time management skills required. •Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with EHR.
