Responsibilities: Provide mental health services and substance abuse services to the patients of the East Harlem Council for Human Services, Inc. (Council)/Boriken Neighborhood Health Center focusing on treatment, prevention, and awareness of opioid abuse. Assure that the mental health/psychosocial component of the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center is in compliance with guidelines and regulations of licensing and funding agencies and in keeping with current practices regarding the delivery of mental health and psychosocial support services. Perform other functions necessary for the proper care of patients and functioning of the Council.
Qualifications: NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred, Licensed Masters degree in Social Work, Minimum of 2 years experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred. Experience working with patients and families, including individuals with HIV/AIDS, a history of substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence and families at risk; dedicated to providing high quality patient-centered services.
