Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc. has an immediate need for a Chemical Dependency Counselor
Job Summary: Provide direct group, family and individual counseling within the Outpatient Addiction Services. Conduct initial screenings and assessments,comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations, implement treatment plans and complete discharge summaries. Apply evidenced based principles to all aspects of treatment.
Minimum Requirements: Must hold NYSCASAC, LMSW, or be other NYS licensed/credentialed professional designated as a QHP by NYSOASAS. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills,and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with the treatment team and community agencies. Must be organized and possess demonstrated time management and documentation skills.
