Community Pediatric Programs (CPP) is a partnership of Montefiore Medical Center and the Children’s Health Fund. CPP is recruiting to fill 3 full-time internship positions to work within our programs.
Our dedicated providers and staff at the New York Children’s Health Project are experts in the delivery of mobile health care to homeless children, their families, and street-involved youth. Since 1987, this mobile homeless health care program has been bringing comprehensive care directly to the doorsteps of New York City shelters.
At the South Bronx Health Center patients of all ages, who hail from low income and public housing developments, are assured a seamless continuum of care regardless of their ability to pay. Our patients have access to primary care, mental health and nutrition services, as well as mobile dental care and a wide-array of support services.
The Starr Center coordinates and supports the development, implementation and administration of the Community Pediatric Programs’ Special Initiatives, which focus on health issues that disproportionately affect the patient population. The Starr Center’s research/evaluation team is dedicated to continuous quality improvement, health outcomes surveillance and program evaluation, as well as development and dissemination of best practice models. Additionally, a key component of the Special Initiatives is to develop culturally appropriate patient education and health promotion materials
Our mission at Community Pediatric Programs is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, family-centered health care to New York City’s most medically underserved children and families. We are a community-based network working to close the ever-widening gap in health disparities—by tackling priority health issues pervasive among low income and vulnerable children and families and advocating for disadvantaged New Yorkers.
