NextGen Support Analyst
Callen-Lorde is seeking a flexible, dedicated individual to join our staff as a NextGen Support Analyst (SA). The SA will serve as a technical resource for the health center’s NextGen Practice Management (PM), Electronic Health Record (EHR), Electronic Dental Record (EDR) and Document Management (formerly ICS) systems. The SA will work within the Health Information Technology (HIT) team to provide end user support. In this role the SA will track all HIT related support requests assuring that an appropriate member of the team is following up on any issues in a timely manner, this will include monitoring all support tickets opened with NextGen to assure their timely response and escalation of issues as necessary. In this role the SA will identify and troubleshoot issues within NextGen systems, working to resolve them by identifying existing NextGen resources and independent investigation, the SA will perform all follow-up activities to assure satisfactory resolution of issues and communication with the end users. The SA will participate in the implementation of all system software enhancements and upgrades. This position may also include EHR template and document development as well report development in EHR and PM systems.
Callen-Lorde is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position with normal business hours (9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday – Friday). Occasional evenings and Saturdays will be required. Bachelor’s Degree or extensive prior NextGen experience required
NextGen Certified Professional – EHR, PM, ICS and/or EDR preferred
Experience working within a healthcare setting preferred
Knowledge of NextGen setup, maintenance and configuration
Ability to troubleshoot problems and issues related to NextGen systems
Experience with NextGen KBM and application upgrades
SQL and MS SQL Server database and/or creating Crystal reports experience are plusses
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information-applicable state regulations
