Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc. has an immediate need for a Dental Hygenist.
Job Summary: Provide oral health care to patients within our School Based Health Centers or at other SCHC Facilities, by cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth; taking, processing, mounting and filing x-rays, and giving advice on oral hygiene Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date case notes using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Provide oral examinations to patients by charting dental caries, interpreting x-rays, evaluating oral conditions and recording information on patients dental chart forms. Plan and deliver lectures to community organizations and other groups of children and adults using posters, slides, models, motion pictures, and other visual aids. Provide preventative in-service training for dental assistants and other departments. Stock and maintain clean operatory. Maintain accurate recall system for those patients requiring appointments in 3-months or less. Comply with governmental safety, health rules and regulations.
Graduate of a two year Dental Hygienist program
