Health Provider Network (HPN), Health Alert Network (HAN), & NYC MED
Both the New York State and the New York City Departments of Health host online portals to access their application systems for New York providers. The New York State portal is called the Health Provider Network (HPN) and the New York City portal is called NYC MED. As part of these online services, city and state both operate Health Alert Networks (HAN). Through the Health Alert Networks (HANs) they send out information pertinent to those working in the health field here in New York. These state and city HANs will be the most important sources of information for health centers during emergencies.
Providers need to register to be part of HPN or NYC MED. Please see the links below for more information on how to sign up.
