Administrative Functions Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide operational support to the Regional Administrator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)–in Region 2 (NY, NJ, PR, USVI) with collaborative community providers, city agencies, state agencies, stakeholders and other regional partners to ensure project success
Participate in establishing and maintaining the lead public health agency for behavioral health (SAMHSA) accomplish its Region 2- strategic initiatives and mission integral with various stakeholders and communities
Provide culturally competent services in accordance with changing ACA and behavioral health policies.
Provide first hand support throughout webinars, and other collaborative efforts with the various Health & Human Services agencies such as ACF, CMS, OWH, OASH and ACL.
Collaborate, interface and coordinate enterprise supportive services with service providers from all sectors of the service system such as OASAS, OMH, USVI, Puerto Rico and other various government, city, state and public sectors.
Transliterate reports and provided various administrative bargaining support for union collective bargaining negotiation
Routinely advise members of their collective bargaining rights as it pertain to the MOA in preparation for grievances, arbitration and disciplinary actions
Oversee and managed the Union’s short term disability as plan administrator to certify members claim, regularly interfacing with physicians and insurance carrier
Administer, process, and monitor National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research/National Institute of Health (NIDCR/NIH) and commercial/industrial grants application and budgets expenditure
Serve as liaison for students, faculty, principal investigators, researchers, community leaders, collaborators (international and national), other departments and divisions within the college and university (e.g. Research Restricted Accounting and Office of Sponsored Program) as well as NIDCR/NIH
Develop and oversee an ongoing monitoring system that computerize the recording and averaging of student grades and progress reports; mange the development implantation and evaluation of training fund applications
Assist in the preparation and processing of legal documents and contracts to meet designated deadlines; Design and produce pictorial presentation, posters, and lectures
Administer, maintain, monitor, and reconcile departmental budget expenditures and gather data for final status reports to funding agencies
Competence in general accounting: accounts payable/receivable; general ledger; expense report; trial balance
